Harry and Meghan Megxit Reader Q&A Reader Questions Answered

I'm answering my reader emails in today's video and discussing the Harry and Meghan royal drama that is playing out in the press.



I receive multiple emails a day through my author contact form. Because I am so busy with family duties, I regret that I am often unable to reply. In today's video, I respond to some of the questions and comments I've received by email: a young wife grapples with an anger issue, a toddler won't let his mama wake up before the family, a cosmetic procedure gone wrong, and a regrettable tattoo are among some of the reader emails I'm sharing today.

I'm also discussing the royal drama of Harry and Meghan stepping down from the royal family. What do you make of this situation? I find it to be confusing and do not know which news sources to trust as I read conflicting accounts everywhere. Let us know your take on it and any of the other reader emails in the comments below.

I woke up to a verified blue check mark on my Instagram handle. How this got there is a mystery to me...

There are some new people here so I thought I'd introduce myself. Hello, I'm Jennifer! I'm the author of THE MADAME CHIC SERIES and CONNOISSEUR KIDS. I used to use the hashtag #MADAMECHIC but it got hijacked by a lot of non-Madame Chic things so I am going back to the original #lessonsfrommadamechic (it's long, but precise). I woke up one day and had the blue verified check mark next to my handle on Instagram. I have no idea how this happened. A few months ago, my publishers @chroniclebooks asked me to apply for a verified check for Instagram to help promote CONNOISSEUR KIDS. I did apply and was swiftly rejected 😂 This did not surprise me as you all know that I have a D+ on Instagram. But many months went by and I guess they changed their minds! I've been thinking about this blue verified check and I think the only good thing about it is to confirm that it is, indeed, me and not an imposter. Although I don't think anyone is impersonating me online (there was one person doing so on Facebook in China, but that is another story). Otherwise, the check doesn't mean much. It certainly does not mean that I am skilled at Instagram 😆. So this is just a reminder to keep perspective and keep it real. What you see on social media is largely curated and what people want you to see. I don't lead a perfect life. But I do lead a life I love and if you're wondering where the phrase "daily connoisseur" comes from, it was inspired by an obscure Agatha Christie series called, THE MYSTERIOUS MR. QUIN, in which the main character, Mr. Satterthwaite is described as a connoisseur of daily life. I liked that, so I named my blog after it.
